Dr. Daniela Prayer is a world-renowned expert in fetal and neonatal magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and a pioneer in applying advanced imaging to understand brain development before and shortly after birth. Her groundbreaking work has helped define the role of fetal MRI in modern prenatal diagnosis and significantly advanced our understanding of normal and abnormal neurodevelopmental trajectories. She has also completed specializations in Neurology and Psychiatry.
Based in Vienna, Austria, Dr. Prayer is the Head of the Department of Biomedical Imaging and Image-guided Therapy at the Medical University of Vienna. She has led numerous influential studies on fetal brain maturation, white matter development, functional connectivity, and congenital brain malformations, contributing key insights that have shaped both clinical practice and scientific thought.
