Dr. Gustavo Malinger

Founder President, Fetal Brain Society

Tel Aviv, Israel

It is with great pride and a deep sense of responsibility that I serve as the Founder President of the Fetal Brain Society—an international initiative born out of a simple yet powerful idea: to understand and protect the human brain from its very beginning.

Throughout my career in fetal neurosonography, I have witnessed the transformative power of early diagnosis, collaborative care, and continuous learning. But no single individual or specialty holds all the answers. That’s why this Society was formed—to bring together diverse minds and disciplines under one shared mission: advancing fetal brain science for better outcomes and brighter futures.

Our Vision

To create a global hub for excellence in prenatal brain research, imaging, education, and innovation—where ideas are shared freely, science guides practice, and collaboration drives progress.

Our Mission

  • To provide a unified platform for fetal medicine specialists, radiologists, sonographers, neuroscientists, geneticists, and pediatric neurologists to exchange knowledge and expertise.
  • To encourage the standardization of diagnostic approaches, allowing for earlier, more accurate detection of fetal brain abnormalities.
  • To invest in education and mentorship, especially for young professionals passionate about fetal neurodevelopment.
  • To foster research that bridges the gap between clinical practice and neuroscience, ensuring every discovery moves us closer to better care.

The Fetal Brain Society is not just a scientific organization—it is a movement. A movement that believes that when we understand the brain in its earliest stages, we open doors to prevention, early intervention, and lifelong neurological health.

I am incredibly grateful to work alongside dedicated colleagues like Dr. Prashant Acharya, our Founder Secretary, and a remarkable board of leaders from around the world. Together, we are building a future where every child has the opportunity to reach their full potential—starting in the womb.

Thank you for being part of this journey.

Sincerely,
Dr. Gustavo Malinger
